Hello From South Dakoter

Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone's week has been a great one. Mine has been pretty interesting for sure. The work is going pretty well, we have 5 people committed for baptism, which is pretty awesome. One fellow we just committed this week is a 20 yr. old native man who is really excited about the gospel. So we're excited for him. Another two are a great couple who plan to get baptized as soon as the woman gets divorced from her previous husband who ran away from her about 20 years ago (so she's having problems locating him), so they can get married. Another two are a mom and her daughter, who will probably get baptized this weekend or next, depending on how they are feeling.
Also, our district is setting up a booth in the mall here for a Saturday, which will 'advertise' the church. We aren't allowed to approach people, but if people come to the booth and ask us questions, we can say anything. So hopefully it draws a lot of attention and positive publicity for the church. The missionaries here are going to do it in shifts, having 1-2 companionships present for the duration of the day. It'll be good stuff.
Oh ya, we helped a less-active guy skin some deer, the meat of which he is giving to a needy family. It was pretty fun, but it made me want to go pig hunting so bad! Ah man.
Also, the Lord blessed us with quite a few new investigators this week. One of whom is golden! She is a 30 year old patrolling cop. We tracted in to her and after a couple of attempts to contact her she finally visited with us. Anyway, we taught her a lesson on the Restoration and it went really well. What makes her so golden is what she wants from a church. She said stuff like, "I want a church that helps me be a better person every day of my life." And, "All the churches I have been to have always left me feeling empty." (Void of the Spirit, bing bing bing). And many other things along those lines. She's a non-practicing Catholic who believes the Catholic church has a lot of problems, mainly focusing on the hypocritical nature of confessions and such. She is the first investigator I've had in whom I have really seen a sincere desire to change and become a better person, and its awesome (which may mean I haven't been doing my job too well in the past...) But I'm excited for whatever the Lord has in store for me.
As long as we humble ourselves and acknowledge his hand in ourlives and sincerely try to be better each and every day, the Lord will bless us tremendously and will carry our burdens. I know this to be true. I love you all and hope you have a great week!
Love,
Elder Fitt
